I was shocked when my husband texted me about a young adult friend of ours, Tyler Ritz, who lost his mom this week in a fatal car crash.  It’s heart breaking to hear of him losing his mother at such a young age and just before Christmas.  I found out what he is wanting to do in her memory and jumped right on board to spread the word.  I can’t think of a better way to honour her memory and bless Tyler’s heart than to get involved with this project.

Tyler writes:

My mom had one wish before she died, and that was to hand out $10 Tim’s cards down at the Drop In Centre (a shelter in Calgary). She was told by the DI that there are over 500 homeless staying there, 100 of which are elderly. Knowing $5000 is a lot to raise she set her minimum goal at 100. I want to honour her memory by raising that 500. We will be handing them out on dec 21. Please contact me if you wish to donate your time or money in loving memory, my guardian angel Arline Savage. The trust fund is set up. Donations can be made at any RBC bank to ‘in trust to A. Savage / Drop In Gift Cards’. All monies donated will have a paper trail through RBC and the joint signature checks.

You can watch the Global TV coverage here and hear Tyler’s wish for his mom.
